Privacy policy
The images you upload exist on our servers for as long as it takes to measure them, and then they do not.
Last updated
The short version
- Photographs you upload are processed to produce your preset and then deleted.
- They are not used to train anything. There is nothing to train — the engine is arithmetic, not a model.
- The measured settings are kept against your account so you can download a preset again. You can delete any of it.
- We do not sell data, and there are no third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
What we collect
Photographs you upload
Images are received, decoded, resampled to the analysis size and compared. Once the extraction completes and the preview images have been returned to your browser, the uploaded files are deleted from our servers. We do not retain the originals.
Uploaded files may contain EXIF metadata — camera, lens, date, and sometimes GPS coordinates. We read none of it and it is discarded with the file. If you would rather it never left your machine, strip metadata before uploading; it makes no difference to the result.
Extraction results
The measured settings — curve anchors, colour offsets, grading values, confidence and residual — are stored against your account, along with the small preview images shown in your history, so that you can return and download a preset without re-uploading. Delete any extraction and its previews go with it.
Account information
Your email address, authentication credentials, plan and the count of extractions used in the current period. If you subscribe, payment is handled by our payment processor; we receive a customer identifier and subscription status, and never see your card details.
Operational logs
Server logs record request paths, timings, status codes and error traces so that failures can be diagnosed. They do not contain image data. Logs are rotated and discarded on a short cycle.
What we do not do
- We do not train models on your images. The extraction is deterministic arithmetic and there is no model to improve.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for their own purposes.
- We do not run third-party advertising or behavioural analytics scripts on this site.
- We do not read EXIF, location or any other embedded metadata.
Processors we rely on
Running the service requires a small number of providers: hosting and compute, a managed database, a payment processor for subscriptions, and a transactional email provider for sign-in and receipts. Each receives only what it needs to perform that function.
Your rights
You can access, export or delete your data at any time from your account, or by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your extraction history, previews and account record. Records we are required to keep for tax or accounting purposes — invoices, essentially — are retained for as long as the law requires and no longer.
If you are in the UK or EU, you have the rights granted by the UK GDPR and the GDPR respectively, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority.
Cookies
We set a session cookie so that you stay signed in. That is the only cookie the site requires and it has no tracking function. There are no advertising cookies.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of the page and, for changes that affect how your data is handled, notify account holders by email.
