1. The agreement

By creating an account or using PresetForge you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What the service does

PresetForge measures a colour transform from images you provide and writes it as preset and lookup-table files. It is a tool. The results depend on the images you give it, and no particular outcome is guaranteed.

Single-image extraction is explicitly an approximation. With only one image there is no way to separate the edit from the scene, and the result should be treated as a starting point rather than a measurement. We say this plainly on the product pages and we repeat it here.

3. Your content

You keep all rights in the images you upload. You grant us only the narrow, temporary licence needed to process them and return a result — no publication, no redistribution, no training.

You confirm that you have the right to upload each image, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark or privacy. Do not upload material you do not have permission to use.

4. The presets you generate

Presets, LUTs and JSON files you generate are yours. We claim no ownership and no royalty. You may use them commercially, include them in client work, and sell them.

Note that a preset derived from somebody else's photograph carries whatever questions any derivative work carries, and that naming a preset after a film, a brand or a photographer raises trademark issues that are separate from the colour science. Those are your responsibility, not ours.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not upload unlawful material, or material you lack the rights to.
• Do not attempt to circumvent plan limits, rate limits or authentication.
• Do not resell access to the service, or operate it on behalf of third parties as a bureau, without a written agreement.
• Do not use automated means to extract at a volume that degrades the service for others.

6. Plans, billing and refunds

The free plan is limited to five extractions per calendar month; the counter resets monthly and unused extractions do not carry over. Pro is billed monthly in advance and may be cancelled at any time, taking effect at the end of the current period. Lifetime is a single payment for continued access to the Pro feature set.

If the service does not do what this site says it does, tell us within 30 days of paying and we will refund you. That is the whole refund policy.

Prices may change. Existing subscribers keep their price for the current billing period, and we give notice before any change takes effect.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, upstream provider failures and the ordinary hazards of software all happen. We do not offer a contractual uptime commitment on these plans.

8. Third-party software

Adobe, Lightroom, Photoshop, Camera Raw, Bridge and Premiere Pro are trademarks of Adobe Inc. DaVinci Resolve is a trademark of Blackmagic Design. Final Cut Pro is a trademark of Apple Inc. PresetForge is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them. We describe file formats and application behaviour for interoperability; that is all.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, and will explain why unless doing so is itself unlawful.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided as is, and our total liability in connection with it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Changes to these terms

We will update the date at the top of this page when these terms change, and notify account holders by email of material changes. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept it.
